Use the following verbage when calling on businesses to determine if they are a potential Group Business Prospect.

“Hello, I’m _______ (your name); I’m calling for a member of the Consumer Health Alliance and have just one question:

“Does your company have a GOOD dental plan in force?”

If YES: Say thank you and have a great day!

If NO: To whose name should I direct information about benefits? Confirm address.

Thank you! have a great day, good bye!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
(You can either call the person whose name you were given the next day and go through the following script or you can simply mail a brochure to that person’s attention and follow up a few days later.)

BUSINESS SCRIPT - Use the following verbage when following up with the Benefits Coordinator at a business

Hello, may I please speak with (the name of the person you found out above)

Hello, My name is _________(your name) and my company can offer benefits to your employees that are affordable and do not have to cost your company a dime…..would that be of interest to you?
Is this a good time to talk?

We have a benefit package where for less than $20 a month (or less than $5 per week), an employee can be covered for dental, vision, prescription drugs and chiropractic care. And for less than $40 a month (or less than $10 a week), add medical as well.

This is NOT insurance, so there are no restrictions on the company or the employees. Rather… this is a discount-fee-for-service plan with no limitations or restrictions, no exclusions, no waiting periods, and no forced enrollment periods.

I’m going to be in your area on _________(day of the week) and could show you this in less than 10 minutes. Would morning or afternoon work for you?

(If no appt can be made)_ I have a simple brochure I can send to you to look this over. Would you mind if I send this to you and follow up in a few days?

Or……………….

I’m going to be in your area tomorrow and Wednesday (name a day of the week). I could stop by and in just 10 minutes show you this plan. Would morning or afternoon be better for the 10 minutes it would take? Morning? How about around 10:00 a.m.? No? Then maybe 11:00 a.m.?
Great. I’ll see you at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Again, my name is___________. See you then.

IF and only IF they are open to dialogue, either over the phone or in person, some questions to ask them are. You may want to save these until they’ve received brochure or you are in person with them:

How many employees do they have?
Are they all full-time or are some part-time?
Are they all salaried or are some paid on an hourly basis?
Do they have any “contract” employees?
Do they have much turn-over of employees?
Do they currently offer a medical plan to their employees?
How about their part-time employees and contract employees?.
